In most schools, a new teacher exists in HR before they exist in the software. The gap between the two is where classes go unassigned and the first week is spent asking for a login.
The record should create the login
When HR creates the staff record with a role and a school, the account should exist immediately, with a temporary password sent to the person's email and a forced change on first login. No ticket to IT, no spreadsheet of passwords.
Reporting lines are not decoration
- Leave requests route to the reporting manager.
- Parent queries escalate along the same lines.
- A HOD's view is the set of people who report into them.
And the exit should be one step too
Deactivating a staff member should end their access everywhere in the same action — not leave an orphaned login behind.
This is how MANEXA's HR module works: the staff record, the role and the login are one operation, and the hierarchy is data that the rest of the platform uses.
